What is a good neighborhood in San Francisco for a young, socially active professional woman?
I would prefer to live in an area where I will not be dependent on my car to get around (I want to eventuallly sell it) and an area where I will be safe walking both day and night. My budget for a studio or 1-bedroom is about $1,600. Any suggestions?
It is quite possible to live car free in SF with little problem. The city is compact and lots of neighborhoods make shopping on foot very easy.
