Wcw Ring
Did WCW or WWF ever have a big match that consisted of several wrestlers and multiple rings?

I know I have seen a match like this somewhere. I remember there were two wrestlers remaining and they had to go through several rings to get to each other. I think they made the rings smaller too so they could all fit inside the arena.

Can someone PLEASE help me with this?

All true. But there was also WCW World War 3

The Death Of Wcw

The Death Of Wcw

$9.79

What went wrong with WCW? In 1997, World Championship Wrestling was on top. It was the number-one pro wrestling company in the world, and the highest-rated show on cable television. Each week, fans tuned in to Monday Nitro , flocked to sold-out arenas, and carried home truckloads of WCW merchandise. Sting, Bill Goldberg, and the New World Order were household names. Superstars like Dennis Rodman and KISS jumped on the WCW bandwagon. It seemed the company could do no wrong. But by 2001, however, everything had bottomed out. The company having lost a whopping 95% of its audience was sold for next to nothing to Vince McMahon and World Wrestling Entertainment. WCW was laid to rest. How could the company lose its audience so quickly? Who was responsible for shows so horrible that fans fled in horror? What the hell happened to cause the death of one of the largest wrestling companies in the world? The Death of World Championship Wrestling is the first book to take readers through a detailed dissection of WCWs downfall.

Dwayne Bruce by Hermes, Othniel [Paperback]

Dwayne Bruce by Hermes, Othniel [Paperback]

$76.47

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Dwayne Bruce (May 14, 1960) is a professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker. Bruce was a trainer at the WCW Power Plant wrestling school. As Sergeant Buddy Lee Parker, Dwayne Bruce wrestled in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) with tag partner Lieutenant James Earl Wright as The State Patrol. He became a member of the Dungeon of Doom under the shortlived identity Braun The Leprechaun before being repackaged as Military Man Jack Boot. Boot only lasted a short time before Buddy Lee Parker returned, this time as a Military Sergeant. Ric Flair: To Be the Man

Ric Flair: To Be the Man

$8.99

“Woooooo! ™” With that triumphant cry, “Nature Boy” Ric Flair surpassed his predecessors and his peers to become one of the greatest professional wrestlers in history. To wrestling fans, the Nature Boy is a platinum-blond deity. A sixteen-time World Champion, “Slick Ric” could convince television viewers that a momentous life experience would pass them by if they missed an upcoming match. His opponents were challenged with this simple taunt: “To be the man, you have to beat the man.” From the moment he was born, Richard Morgan Fliehr was enmeshed in controversy. Like many of the other children adopted through the Tennessee Children’s Home Society, he had apparently been stolen from his birth parents. Raised just outside Minneapolis, Ric was a distracted student, a brilliant athlete, and a wild party boy. Then, a chance meeting with Olympic weightlifter Ken Patera, directed Flair to the world of professional wrestling. In 1974, Flair relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, igniting the Mid-Atlantic Wrestling promotion. He was almost forced to retire a year later when his back was broken in a plane crash. Flair recuperated, and in 1981 he would win his first National Wrestling Alliance championship. As the most traveled champion ever, he once wrestled eighteen hour-long cards during a fourteen-day stretch. Before purchasing World Championship Wrestling in 1988, Ted Turner was given assurance that the Nature Boy would come with the package. But Flair’s clashes with WCW management would drive him to World Wrestling Entertainment. When he later returned to WCW, Flair collided in and out of the ring with Hulk Hogan and — as the company disintegrated — began losing his self-esteem. Arriving back at WWE in 2001, Flair was a broken man. What he didn’t realize was that wrestlers who’d grown up idolizing him now inhabited the locker room. With their support, he was finally able to claim his legacy and receive the credit he so richly deserved. To Be the Man traces the rise of one of wrestling’s most enduring superstars to the pinnacle of the sports entertainment universe, and is a must-read for every wrestling fan.

Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio

$13.99

He’s called the human highlight reel of professional wrestling. His high-flying acrobatics have thrilled fans on every continent. He’s been crowned champion of the world’s greatest wrestling promotions, from Mexico to the U.S. But he’s never revealed the inside story of who he is. Until now. Wrestling fans know him as Rey Mysterio, an American luchador of unparalleled talent, the ultimate proof that good things come in small packages. Now for the first time, Rey adds the personal side to the story: • How he had to fight to get a tryout in the ring • Who he was before Rey Misterio Jr.—and even before Colibri, usually noted as his first identity • What it was like to wrestle in Mexico—from the bullrings to the riots • How he fought plans for his unmasking in WCW—and why he wishes he hadn’t succeeded • The inside story of the 619, the West Coast Pop, and his other signature moves • The impact of Eddie Guerrero on his career in WWE • The personal struggle that cost him ring time in 2008, but ultimately made him a stronger man • His real passion in life as husband and father In Rey Mysterio: Behind the Mask, Rey talks candidly about his twenty-plus-year career, from the days of sneaking into bars as a fourteen-year-old to his most recent showdowns in WWE. He speaks of the emotional moments in the ring with his uncle Rey Misterio, and the dark days when he went under the knife to repair his damaged knee. Along the way, Mysterio introduces American audiences to the mysteries of lucha libre, the high-flying, anything-goes Mexican wrestling style that he has done so much to popularize in the U.S. He also talks about the debts he owes to wrestlers such as Konnan, known as the Mexican Hulk Hogan, and dishes some behind- the-scenes dirt on the collapse of WCW at the height of the Monday Night Wars. Mysterio talks tenderly—but realistically—of his friend Eddie Guerrero, providing a well-rounded picture of one of the most beloved wrestling figures of recent history. He also details his march toward the Heavyweight Championship, and his mastery of the WWE Triple Crown—a feat that placed him in an elite group for all time. Behind the Mask is the intimate portrait of one of wrestling’s all-time greats, a story wrestling fans of all ages won’t want to miss.

Now for the first time, Rey adds the personal side to the story: &#149 How he had to fight to get a tryout in the ring &#149 Who he was before Rey Misterio Jr. — and even before Colibri, usually noted as his first identity &#149 What it was like to wrestle in Mexico — from the bullrings to the riots &#149 How he fought plans for his unmasking in WCW — and why he wishes he hadn’t succeeded &#149 The inside story of the 619, the West Coast Pop, and his other signature moves &#149 The impact of Eddie Guerrero on his career in WWE &#149 The personal struggle that cost him ring time in 2008 but ultimately made him a stronger man &#149 His real passion in life as husband and father In Rey Mysterio: Behind the Mask, Rey talks candidly about his twenty-plus-year career, from the days of sneaking into bars as a fourteen-year-old to his most recent showdowns in WWE. He also talks about the debts he owes to wrestlers such as Konnan, known as the Mexican Hulk Hogan, and dishes some behind-the-scenes dirt on the collapse of WCW at the height of the Monday Night Wars. Mysterio talks tenderly — but realistically — of his friend Eddie Guerrero, providing a well-rounded picture of one of the most beloved wrestling figures of recent history. He also details his march toward the Heavyweight Championship, and his mastery of the WWE Triple Crown — a feat that placed him in an elite group for all time. Behind the Mask is the intimate portrait of one of wrestling’s all-time greats, a story wrestling fans of all ages won’t want to miss.

WrestleCrap

WrestleCrap

$8.79

WrestleCrap: The Very Worst of Professional Wrestling examines some of the ridiculously horrible characters and storylines that pro wrestling promoters have subjected their fans to over the past twenty years. Why would any sane person think that having two grown men fight over a turkey was actually a reasonable idea? Was George Ringo the Wrestling Beatle really the best gimmick that a major promotional organization could come up with? And who would charge fans to watch a wrestler named the Gobbeldy Gooker emerge from an egg? In an attempt to answer such questions and figure out just what the promoters were thinking authors Randy Baer and R.D. Reynolds go beyond what wrestling fans saw on the screen and delve into the mindset of those in the production booth. In some instances the motivations driving the spectacle prove even more laughable than what was actually seen in the ring. Covering such entertainment catastrophes as an evil one-eyed midget and a wrestler from the mystical land of Oz not to mention the utterly comprehensible Turkey-on-a-Pole match (a gimmick which AWA fans might recall) WrestleCrap is hysterically merciless in its evaluation of such organizations as the WCW and the WWF. This retrospective look at the wrestling world’s misguided attempts to attract viewers will leave wrestling fans and critics alike in stitches.

Montreal Screwjob

Montreal Screwjob

$103.56

The Montreal Screwjob was the real life doublecrossing of defending WWF Champion Bret Hart by Vince McMahon, the owner of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), during the main event match of the professional wrestling payperview event Survivor Series held on November 9, 1997 at the Molson Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. A secret change of the matchs predetermined finish (known as a shoot screwjob in professional wrestling parlance) was devised by McMahon and discussed with Harts match opponent, Shawn Michaels. The plan was executed when the match referee, Earl Hebner, under orders from McMahon, called for the bell to ring and ended the match as Michaels held Hart in the Sharpshooter submission hold (Harts signature finishing move), even though Hart had not submitted. Michaels was declared the victor by submission and crowned as the new WWF Champion. The reason for this screwjob was rooted in Harts decision to leave McMahons company for its chief competitor, World Championship Wrestling (WCW), after McMahon told Hart that financial problems would not allow him to keep Hart on under his recently signed 20 year contract. In Your House

In Your House

$159.32

In Your House was a payperview series created by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). The original concept was that, in months when the WWF was not holding one of its major PPV events (WrestleMania, King of the Ring, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, and Royal Rumble, which at the time ran for three hours and retailed for 29.95), they would offer a twohour PPV, priced at 19.95. This concept was somewhat abandoned when World Championship Wrestling (WCW) began offering threehour PPV events on a monthly basis, forcing the WWF to do the same. The events were numbered, as In Your House #1, #2, and so on, until event specific subtitles were added, starting with #7 Good Friends, Better Enemies (referring to the main event of Shawn Michaels vs. Diesel), such as Its Time (Vaders catch phrase), Buried Alive (describing the main event match), A Cold Day in Hell (contrasting gimmicks of main eventers Steve Austin and The Undertaker), Rock Bottom (The Rocks finishing move and the decline of his opponent Mankind), St. Valentines Day Massacre (a violent event taking place in February and the PPV happened on Valentines Day), and many others. Ric Flair: To Be The Man

Ric Flair: To Be The Man

$4.29

"Woooooo! ™" With that triumphant cry, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair surpassed his predecessors and his peers to become one of the greatest professional wrestlers in history. To wrestling fans, the Nature Boy is a platinum-blond deity. A sixteen-time World Champion, "Slick Ric" could convince television viewers that a momentous life experience would pass them by if they missed an upcoming match. His opponents were challenged with this simple taunt: "To be the man, you have to beat the man." From the moment he was born, Richard Morgan Fliehr was enmeshed in controversy.

Eric Bischoff

Eric Bischoff

$12.99

Eric Bischoff has been called pro wrestling’s most hated man. He’s been booed, reviled, and burned in effigy. Fans have hurled everything from beer bottles to fists at him. Industry critics have spewed a tremendous amount of venom about his spectacular rise and stupendous crash at World Championship Wrestling. But even today, Eric Bischoff’s revolutionary influence on the pro wrestling industry can be seen on every television show and at every live event. Bischoff has kept quiet while industry “pundits” and other know-it-alls pontificated about what happened during the infamous Monday Night Wars. Basing their accounts on third- and fourth-hand rumors and innuendo, the so-called experts got many more things wrong than right. Now, in Controversy Creates Cash , Bischoff tells what really happened. Beginning with his days as a salesman for Verne Gagne’s American Wrestling Association, Bischoff takes readers behind the scenes of wrestling, writing about the inner workings of the business in a way never before revealed. He demonstrates how controversy helped both WCW and WWE. Eric gives the real numbers behind WCW’s red ink — far lower than reported — and talks about how Turner Broadcasting’s merger with Time Warner, and then Time Warner’s merger with AOL, devastated not only WCW but many creative and entrepreneurial businesses within the conglomerate. Bischoff has surprisingly kind words for old rivals like Vince McMahon, but pulls no punches with friends and enemies alike. Among his revelations: How teaming with Mickey Mouse turned WCW into a national brand. Why Hulk Hogan came to WCW. Why he fired Jesse Ventura for sleeping on the job. Why Steve Austin didn’t deserve another contract at WCW, and how Bischoff’s canning him was the best thing that ever happened to Austin. How Ted Turner decided WCW should go head-to-head against Raw on Monday nights. How Nitro revolutionized wrestling. Where the New World Order really began. How corporate politics killed WCW. And how he found his inner heel and learned to love being the guy everyone loves to despise. Bischoff brings a surprisingly personal touch to the story, detailing his rough-and-tumble childhood in Detroit, talking about his family and the things he did to cope with the stress of the high-octane media business. Now a successful entertainment producer as well as a wrestling personality, Bischoff tells how he found contentment after being unceremoniously “sent home” from WCW. Love him or hate him, readers will never look at a pro wrestling show quite the same way after reading Bischoff’s story in Controversy Creates Cash .
