DO YOU EVER FIND YOURSELF AT THE MERCY OF ROAD RAGE? SCREAMING AND WAVING YOUR HANDS AROUND LIKE A WILD PERSON?
Years ago? Oh yes! Not so much anymore.
Because of “road rage” and the fact that you never know who’ll
come after you, I take the patient road.
If I’m on a back road with a car on my butt, I pull over and let them go. Same thing on the highway. I don’t hit the brakes anymore or wave my hands. I let them go by. It’s healthier.
Think of yourself as one of those so called “idiots” in a strange town not knowing your way, wondering “is this one lane or two, and why isn’t there a street sign”? Everyone is beeping, calling you stupid, etc. now you’re all flustered and embarassed which just makes it worse. We all know what that feels like, so why do we do it to others?
What if that annoying driver is in a big hurry for a legitimate reason? Family member hurt, or sick child? And here I was tapping the brakes and cursing.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a jerky kid showing off or whatever, my motto is ” let them have the road, it’s not worth fighting over.”
