Lots of BH contractions/Pelvic Pressure and starting to loose my mucus plug?

I am 38 weeks preg with my 2nd baby. I have been feeling BH contractions for the last month or so but starting this morning they have been all day long. I keep feeling the baby move lower in my pelvic because of the sharp pains that I have also been getting all day long. I started to loose my mucus plug around 1:00 today but it was not bloody. Do you think this could be labor? If so is there any way that I can speed up the process? Thank you for all you answers.

I think it is your body preparing itself for labor. I wouldn’t speed it up any. Enjoy your first child and your partner. I would relax. Enjoy this time and when your baby is ready to go into this world, enjoy him/her then.
