Latrell Sprewell

What is up with Latrell Sprewell?
THis guy apparantly hasn’t retired yet, but no one’s been talking about him or any negotiations. I know he wants to play, and I know he’s a greedy bi tch, but what is he doing right now?
he was just accused of sexual assault so he is probably done with pro ball since he is 35 and has too much baggage to be effective on court

Latrell Sprewell $78.07 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Latrell Fontaine Sprewell is an American former professional basketball player. During his time as a professional, Sprewell was named to the NBA AllStar game during four seasons, and played for the Golden State Warriors, the New York Knicks, and the Minnesota Timberwolves. He helped lead the Knicks to the NBA Finals and the Timberwolves to the Western Conference finals. Despite his accomplishments, his career was largely overshadowed by a 1997 incident in which he choked his coach, P.J. Carlesimo, during a practice, which ultimately resulted in a 68game suspension. A 65 guard/forward, Sprewell was known for his fastbreak twohanded tomahawk dunks. New Jack Jocks $21.95 Latrell Sprewell. Allen Iverson. John McEnroe. Even Mohammed Ali and Mike Schmidt and Michael Jordan. These are characters of our national imagination, athletes who stand as symbols of our complex relationship with professional sport. In this erudite and captivating book, bestselling author Larry Platt takes us on a tour through American sports. Offering profiles of the athletes we love (and love to hate), Platt shows that sport, more than any other nationwide pastime, is the way we come to understand—and alter—race relations, gender, and, most profoundly, how we communicate with each other in ways that are often given too little credit in the minds of intellectuals. Thought-provoking and richly written, New Jack Jocks offers a textured picture of how athletes live their lives and how we live out and define American culture by the way we come to understand their lives in and out of the halls of play. |
