On Great American Dog I heard that Galaxy got hurt how is the dog doing?
I thought I read that Galaxy got hurt last week on Great American dog,but I cannot find on any website how she is doing. I used to like to watch this show but I have found that some of the wrong dogs got voted off and the judges were really not fair.
Not sure…the show was filmed several months ago, so I’m sure she’s doing fine now.
Also, at victoriastilwell.com’s forum, it’s been revealed that her injury came from a game of fetch after the challenge, not the challenge itself.
I used to like this show as well, but I think the challenges have gotten out of hand and the judges have been unfair. Look at Bill and Star – first he isn’t challenging her enough, then last week he challenged her too much, this week he didn’t challenge her enough again and they got eliminated. Star and Andrew were the smart ones to not jump – how were they supposed to know that there was a harness attached to them? What if the next time one of the other dogs is on a high platform, say a balcony, and they jump believing everything will be okay – but there isn’t a harness attached to them?

“American Humane received many concerns regarding the limping dog. This dog did not display any signs of distress, nor did it limp following the challenge. It is our understanding from the show veterinarian that, after American Humane left the set and the contestants were taking their break before the taping of the judging segment, the owner, J.D., was playing Frisbee with his dog, Galaxy. During that play session, the dog came up lame. The dog was seen in the edited show limping without explanation, giving the impression that the limp was perhaps due to the stunt challenge. Again, it is editing that lends itself to the difference between audience perception and reality, as well as the desire of the producers to heighten the drama of the show. Audiences will find further veterinary explanation in future episodes.”
