What folder do I put lots in for sims 2 double deluxe?
I have sims 2 double deluxe, and every time I try to download a lot, it doesn’t work. I do make sure I am using a no ep lot, and i use WINRAR or whatever it’s called. Please tell me step by step what to do for lots. Thanks.

sometimes lots will be Sims2Pack files after you extract them from the .rar or .zip files. If they have an icon that looks like a blue circle with a house or person in the middle, double click that icon. You will get a prompt asking if you want to install it, click yes. The next time you load the game, the new houses should be in the house bin, and be accessible from any neighborhood.

Awaken the Guardian [Bonus DVD] $15.98 Recorded in 1986, Awaken the Guardian was not Fates Warning’s first album — it was actually their third. Awaken the Guardian was, however, the first Fates Warning album to chart in Billboard — and it was an album that turned a lot of headbangers into Fates Warning fans. Nineteen years after the original LP release of Awaken the Guardian, Metal Blade provided this special collectors’ edition — and what started out as a vinyl LP in 1986 became, in late June 2005, a three-disc set (two audio CDs and a live DVD video). While disc one is a straight reissue of Awaken the Guardian (it contains the same eight songs in the same order) and disc two consists of both live material and demos, the DVD focuses on a December 28, 1986 show in Long Island NY (where Fates Warning perform a combination of songs from Awaken the Guardian and their two previous albums Night on Brocken and The Spectre Within). Unfortunately, the DVD isn’t a professionally filmed video, but its inclusion is still a good thing because it gives headbangers a rare chance to actually see (as opposed to simply hearing) the band during their John Arch era. Arch’s high-pitched lead vocals are — much like the vocals of Rush’s Geddy Lee — an acquired taste. Some found Arch, like Lee, to be shrill and said the same thing about Ray Alder when he replaced Arch in 1987. But Arch has plenty of admirers, and headbangers who appreciate his piercing wail generally agree that Awaken the Guardian is the best album that Fates Warning recorded during their Arch period (when they had yet to fully express their interest in progressive rock). This deluxe package is not recommended to casual listeners but rather, was designed for collectors and Fates Warning’s most hardcore fans — and those who fit that description will find a lot to enjoy about Metal Blade’s three-disc version of Awaken the Guardian, Rovi |

BBC Sessions [Deluxe Edition] [2CD/1DVD] $22.99 These are the recordings that Jimi Hendrix made for BBC radio in the late ’60s. As such, they’re loose, informal, and off-the-top-of-his-head improvisational fun. These versions of the hits “Foxey Lady,” “Fire,” two versions of “Purple Haze,” and “Hey Joe” stay surprisingly close to the studio versions, but the tone of Hendrix’s guitar on these is positively blistering and worth the price of admission alone. There’s also a lot of blues on this two-disc collection, and Hendrix’s versions of “Hoochie Coochie Man” (with Alexis Korner on slide guitar), “Catfish Blues,” “Killing Floor,” and “Hear My Train a Comin’” find him in excellent form. But perhaps the best example of how loosely conceived these sessions were are the oddball covers that Hendrix tackles, including Stevie Wonder’s “I Was Made to Love Her” (featuring Wonder on drums), Dylan’s “Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window?,” the Beatles’ “Day Tripper,” and, in recognition of his immediate competition, Cream’s “Sunshine of Your Love.” No lo-fi bootleg tapes here (everything’s from the original masters and gone over by Eddie Kramer), the music and sound are class-A all the way, making a worthwhile addition to anyone’s Hendrix collection. Christmas Wish [Deluxe Edition] $18.99 In 1980, NRBQ entered the lucrative seasonal music market with the EP Christmas Wish, in which the ever-eccentric combo offered up eight holiday-themed tunes ranging from the respectful and charming (the lovely title tune, which appeared twice) to the wildly off-kilter (“Here Comes Santa Claus” played on a very curious sounding electronic keyboard, and a live recording of “Jingle Bells” as pulled from the “Magic Box” request basket at a 1980 live show). Since then, NRBQ have expanded Christmas Wish to a full LP, bulked out to 19 tracks and growing from less than 12 minutes to over 32. However, bigger isn’t always better, and a lot of the material the Q have plucked from the vaults to fill this out isn’t much to write home about. While the version of Vince Guaraldi’s “Christmas Time Is Here” is that rare recording that won’t make you think of A Charlie Brown Christmas, “Holiday” is a neat Yuletide original from Terry Adams, and Al Anderson’s bah-humbug interpretation of “The Christmas Song” will amuse the less spirited, much of the rest of the disc comes from live recordings with NRBQ and the Whole Wheat Horns stumbling through songs of the season with a deliberate sloppiness that doesn’t amuse much when removed from its original context, or from home recordings that sound decidedly unfinished. Fans of NRBQ have long known to expect something a little off the wall from these guys, and the expanded Christmas Wish sure fits that bill, but from one of America’s most consistently creative bands this hodgepodge is something of a letdown. Double Dose [Deluxe Edition] $24.99 Seventeen months after their previous album, Hot Tuna became a quartet with the official addition of keyboardist Nick Buck. They released this two-LP live album, their first concert material in seven years (which was saying a lot for a band that began their recording career with two live albums) and they split just as the album hit record store shelves. Nevertheless, Double Dose gave a solid aural portrait of the mature Hot Tuna; it became a vehicle for the musical interests of guitarist/singer Jorma Kaukonen. Kaukonen, in fact, used the entire first side as an acoustic solo set, then included the excellent “Genesis” from his solo album Quah on its flip. Elsewhere, the full-on electrified group alternated between Kaukonen’s best Hot Tuna compositions such as “I See the Light” and “Sunrise Dance with the Devil,” and blues and rock standards such as “I Wish You Would” and “I Can’t Be Satisfied.” The album was produced by Felix Pappalardi (Cream, Mountain), who knew his way around hard, bluesy rock, and gave Hot Tuna its best recorded live sound on record — even with significant studio overdubbing. The nascent Hot Tuna fan might start here or, a bit more ambitiously, obtain the band’s first two albums, Hot Tuna and First Pull Up, Then Pull Down, skip the five subsequent studio albums, and complete a selective collection with Double Dose. The Wounded Bird imprint’s double-disc deluxe edition is sequenced significantly differently than both the LP original and the two previous, single-disc CD incarnations on Edsel and Acacia. Memory Almost Full (Deluxe Limited Edition) $17.29 From the artist: The first recording session was back in the autumn of 2003 at Abbey Road with my touring band and producer David Kahne. I was right in the middle of it when I began talking with Nigel Godrich about a brand new project (which became Chaos And Creation In The Backyard). When I was just finishing up everything concerned with Chaos and had just got the Grammy nominations (2006) I realized I had this album to go back to and finish off. So I got it out to listen to it again, wondering if I would enjoy it, but actually I really loved it. All I did at first was just listen to a couple of things and then I began to think, OK, I like that track now, what is wrong with it? And it might be something like a drum sound, so then I would re-drum and see where we would get to. I took it from there and built it up. I went through, track by track, making changes as I went along. I fixed things I wasn t too keen on and it just evolved from there. Without me knowing, or really trying, it started to get its own theme, a sort of thread that holds it all together. So I suppose it s about half new stuff and half old stuff from 2003. In places it s a very personal record and a lot of it is retrospective, drawing from memory, like memories from being a kid, from Liverpool and from summers gone. The album is evocative, emotional, rocking, but I can t really sum it up in one sentence. There is a medley of 5 songs towards the end and that was purposefully retrospective. I thought this might be because I m at this point in my life, but then I think about the times I was writing with John and a lot of that was also looking back. It s like me with Penny Lane and Eleanor Rigby – I m still up to the same tricks! |
